Shipping Policy

Only persons who are at least 21 years of age may purchase and receive cider. By placing the order, the buyer authorizes that he/she and the recipient are 21 years of age or older. Upon delivery, the recipient will be required to show identification and therefore needs to be present at the time of delivery. 

FedEx will attempt to deliver a package three times to the given shipping address. If no one is present to sign for the package during any of those attempts, FedEx will hold the package at a nearby FedEx facility. Upon arrival to the facility the package will be held for 5 business days during which time the recipient may pick up the package. An adult signature, valid ID, and tracking number will be required for pickup. Packages cannot be redirected to a different shipping address after the package has left our dock. 

All cider is sold in Vermont, and title passes to the buyer in Vermont. We do not represent your right to import cider into your state, county, or municipality. The customer is responsible for being aware of and compliant with the laws governing shipment to his or her area: this includes obtaining permits if necessary and reporting relevant sales and/or excise taxes related to the shipment of cider. All orders shipped outside of Vermont are not subject to Vermont sales tax. All orders shipped within Vermont are subject to Vermont sales tax (including shipping). This tax will automatically be charged at checkout on all applicable orders.  

The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of cider. You agree that we shall arrange on your behalf and responsibility, shipment through our exclusive common carrier, FedEx. Orders cannot leave our dock until the payment for the order has been paid in full. Orders are consolidated and shipped once per week (typically Thursday mornings), and, once shipped, may be expected to be received within 2-7 business days. The buyer will receive a notification once the item ships, and then may track it via FedEx tracking services. Shacksbury reserves discretion to delay shipment due to hazardous weather conditions. Due to FedEx regulations and state laws related to the shipment of cider, we currently cannot ship to the following states: AL, AR, DE, KY, LA, MS, OK, SD, TN, UT, NH, AK and HI. We do not offer international shipping at this time.  

ALL SALES ARE FINAL UPON SHIPMENT FROM OUR DOCK. If a shipment is damaged on arrival, contact us immediately (see our Return Policy and contact information below).


Returns Policy

Refunds will be given only in instances where the shipment is damaged or fulfilled incorrectly. All refunds will be in the form of a product replacement or we can refund a credit card. For product replacement, Shacksbury will supply an exact replacement subject to availability. If the item ordered is no longer available, Shacksbury will provide a product of approximately equal value.


Privacy Policy

Shacksbury Cider will never sell, share, or use your personal information in our Cider Club or mailing list databases to, with, or for any outside entity, agency or purpose.

We will maintain your personal information in a secure database. We will notify you immediately of any breach in our security.
